Oxycodone

How could I have forgotten what oxycodone did to Cade the last time he was leaving the hospital. Just like last time, it did not happen with the first dose but the second ... oh my! This little guy cannot calm down. He has been laying here for two hours with the lights out TV off and he has tried to take apart the bed, IV stand and has completed three summersaults! When the nurse came it to check on him, he started hitting her and saying "fight, fight!" She was less than impressed but very sweet saying, "oh honey a hospital is not a place to fight but to be quiet and rest."

They are still anticipating Cade coming home in the morning. It should not take long to check out since they were going to have to take out Cade's catheter and wait for him to pee before we could leave ... well ... Cade took out his own catheter today and has peed just fine. So that part is done! Thanks again for all your prayers. As soon as this medication wears off, I am anticipating a restful night!
