There is poetic beauty in the end that only our heavenly father could create. I will share more of that story in the days to come. Every year since my father in law passed, our friends have made it a point to celebrate St Patrick's Day with us. We get together for dinner and make all of our food green. It is precious time that we do not normally get to spend with this family and I could not be more happy about the festivities. Our dinner will not fall on St. Patrick's day this year but a few days later. We are able to look forward to the time though and makes the sting of not having Robert in our lives a bit less painful. Thank you Lord for amazing friends.

St Patrick's Day
St. Patrick's Day has become a holiday that we pay a bit more attention to for a few reasons. Six years ago today my husband and I left his parents house with his mom and sister to go have lunch, pick up our four kiddos and take them to the parade. I am sure that doesn't seem extreme but the truth was we had not left the house in weeks. You see my father in law had been in a hospital bed for weeks prior to that living out his last days. For the first time we called in a hospice nurse and took a break. We knew that we risked missing him pass but we all seemed to have a peace about it. After our outing we went home to find him resting peacefully. We sat by his side and with the nurse still there rejoiced and cried as he went to be with his heavenly father. It was not an easy moment for us and was up to that moment the hardest things that either my husband or I had ever walked out.
